This 4 day training is a mix of practical, evidence – bases approach preventing patients and health workers from being harmed by avoidable infections

Following elements will be covered:

• Identify the role of infection prevention and control in the work setting
• Follow standard and transmission-based precautions for infection prevention and control in the work setting
• Respond to potential and actual exposure to infection risks within scope of own role
• Prepare sterilisation equipment

Load steriliser

• Operate steriliser
• Unload and release sterilised loads
• Comply with quality management requirements

Communication in health and community service

This 3 day course is designed to help individuals improve their ability to work and communicate effectively working in health or community service

• Communicate effectively with people

• Address constraints to communication
• Report problems to supervisor
• Complete workplace correspondence and documentation
